November 2026
Perhaps, like us, you can't believe its November already (almost) and we are starting to get organised for Christmas! Please do join us at the Bunbury Christmas Parade on December 13th and help show our community that the church of Jesus is alive and well in Bunbury! There's still plenty to get involved with this month, including our final Combined Churches Prayer Meeting for the year at 4pm on this Sunday 1st December at CentralPursuit (formerly Dreambuilders) Church, our BCCT Business meeting, a concert and a gathering of Christian medical professionals. All information is below. Enjoy!
Every blessing in Christ Jesus, Verity and Jamie Murray (Co-Chairs) and Ryan Quicke (Vice-Chair)
BCCT joins Bunbury Christmas Parade
Its been a while since BCCT took part in the Bunbury Christmas Parade. We think its time to shine our light there again! Many thanks to Pastor Kyle Wicker and his team at One Directon Christian Fellowship for putting in our application to take part and for leading us in the parade. Please join us on December 13th wearing your Christmas colours and bright smiles and look out for the 'Bunbury Christian Churches Together' banner. We will gather at 4.15pm at Koolambidi Woola Carpark on Blair Street. The 1.5 km parade will commence at 5pm. Please encourage your friends and family to come along and bring your own Christ-themed and Church banners too if you wish. For further information about the parade click here.
Cooinda Primary Seeks Mentors
Simone, the Chaplain at Cooinda Primary School, is seeking additional support for some of their students. Having seen the impact of Kids Hope mentoring in the past, the school highly values the involvement of local churches and is enthusiastic about partnering with churches through their mentoring program.
Mentors commit to spending one hour each week with the same child during the school term. The focus is on building a positive, encouraging relationship. Activities may include reading together, playing games, drawing, or simply spending quality time with the child. There is no set curriculum; the program is entirely relationship-based.
Kids Hope provides all necessary training and ongoing support for mentors, schools, and churches.
Interested? To explore mentoring at Cooinda Primary or another local school, contact Mark Payne, Tel: 0447 381 985 or click here.
Aged Care Requests Christian Worship
South Bunbury Community Aged Care is a new aged care facility opening in Bunbury. They are seeking local pastors, priests, or church leaders who may be interested in visiting their home to provide regular onsite church services for their residents, many of whom value the opportunity to continue practising their faith and participating in familiar spiritual traditions.
If this is something you would be interested in discussing, they would love to hear from you. Contact: Rachel Verdon at activities.sin@fpagedcare.org.au or go to https://fpagedcare.org.au/homes-view/south-bunbury
Bible Reading Marathon
On October 4th Bunbury got involved with the state wide Bible Reading Marathon, being held at St Mark's Anglican Church in Wollaston. We read through chapters in Ezekiel 34 - 48 & Daniel 1 - 7. Many thanks to Esther Schipp and others for organising this.
